Lawn Renovations & Repairs

Transform your tired, patchy, or stressed lawn into a thick, resilient, green showpiece, without starting from scratch.

These intense summer heat, dry spells, and variable soils often leave lawns thin, compacted, or full of bare spots, weeds, and weak areas. Drought stress, foot traffic, poor fertility, winter snow mold remnants, or just years of wear can make your yard look uneven and unhealthy.

Our lawn renovation and repair service featuring overseeding, topdressing, and targeted fixes, revives existing turf by introducing fresh, hardy grass varieties, improving soil health, and filling in problem zones for lasting results.

What Our Renovation & Repair Service Includes:

  • Core Aeration — Punching holes in compacted soil to relieve pressure, improve water/air/nutrient penetration, and reduce thatch buildup, essential in our semi-arid climate where soils harden easily.
  • Overseeding — Spreading high-quality, drought-tolerant seed blends (fescue/perennial ryegrass mixes suited to the Okanagan) over your existing lawn to thicken turf, repair bare/thin patches, boost density, and crowd out weeds naturally. We use improved varieties for better heat/drought resistance, disease tolerance, and lower water needs.
  • Topdressing — Applying a nutrient-rich layer of screened topsoil, compost blend, or organic mix (1/4–1/2 inch) to level uneven areas, add organic matter, enhance soil structure, retain moisture during dry summers, and create the perfect seedbed for new grass to germinate and root strongly.
  • Integrated Fixes — Dethatching if needed, light raking, spot repairs for severe damage, and recommendations for pH adjustments or additional seeding in problem zones.
  • Post-Service Care Guidance — Watering tips, mowing advice, and follow-up fertilization to ensure new growth thrives.

Best Timing for a lawn renovation:

Fall (late August–mid-September) is prime time! Warm soil temps speed germination, cooler air reduces stress on new shoots, and natural rains help establishment—setting up strong roots before winter and explosive spring green-up.

Spring (mid-April–May) works as a secondary option for lighter renovations.

Whether your lawn needs a full refresh after drought/winter damage or just targeted patching and thickening, we'll assess your yard (soil conditions, grass type, sun exposure) and customize the plan, often bundled with fall cleanup, fertilization, or weed control for maximum value and results.
